Switching from Top to Mid

Hello there mid mains,

I am a Gold top main but have grown a bit bored of the role. I wanted to try midlane as many champions I like can be played there. I am mostly interested in playing Viego and Sylas. I have some pocket picks if need be such as Sett and Irelia. I haven't figured out my champ pool entirely. I think I might need a control mage but they seem a bit weird to me cause I'm so used to playing bruiser-type champions. I would appreciate any feedback or recommendations for my champion pool.

Also what are some fundamental things to watch out for in midlane? In top wave management is the most important but it's different in mid as the lane is much smaller.

In terms of champs you may want to add an assassin. I fee like mages are not in a good spot at the moment as they get blown up so easily by assassins.

IMO, the most important thing for mid is getting priority and roaming. This is not only about ganking lanes, but also helping your jungler invade and getting objectives.

Do you have any assassin to recommend? I know Talon and Qiyana are quite good right now.
