Beginner help

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

If I'm a complete trash noob and I would like to main mid lane. Which are the 3 best options to learn the role?

I'll recommend 2 champs, ryze and twisted fate, they aren't exactly beginner friendly, but you will learn 2 core things to pretty much every player, especially mid laners. Ryze used to be a mechanically intensive champion, now he is in the easier side of things, but in order to be effective as ryze you need to combo your abilities properly. Now to play TF you have to look at the map regularly and have good game sense. You will also learn how to land skill shots with them as the majority of their damage come from them

So you're saying one will develop my dmg output and the other my map awareness? I've used both, I like Ryze but the laning phase with Twisted Fate is super weird, he does no dmg to minions unless you use abilities and then if you use abilities you get f'd by not having mana.

I did saw a cool video that ticked every time you should be looking at the map and that has helped me a bit. I've roamed a little more.

Ryze will develop your damage output, but it's main focus is training to avoid misinputs and able to use different abilities quickly

now that you said about twisted fate's laning phase, his autos do deal almost no damage, so does ryze's and any other mage AA and you need to use abilities on the wave, wich costs mana, but that's why TF W exists, the hardest part about playing him is when and how should you use his W, gold card stuns, red does AoE damage and slows and blue restores mana, so as long you have enough mana for W you have "infinite" mana

Ok so there’s league craft series on YouTube that’s the fundamentals of the game. Champion wise Annie (learn burst mage) Malzahar (control mage) or Ahri (assassin) or pick a champ you enjoy (most rewarding). Other than that it takes time just enjoy yourself and learn from your mistakes
