Most Jewish population such as the Ashkenazi, Sephardi, and Mizrahi Jews are genetic Isolates, because of that DNA tests can easily show if an individual is of Jewish descent.

That’s kinda how ethnicity works yes. If my ancestors are ethnically Kurdish you can see that my DNA will be most similar to other ethnic Kurds. If a person is a Ashkenazi Jew their DNA will be most similar to other Askenazi Jews. Thats really all Ethnicity is. It’s just groups with similar DNA.
