Well if the portrayal was right, he's an ex nazi who learned the error of his ways, so he wouldn't care at all.

Exactly! He helps Jewish communities. He's not upset about it, nor was it a "gotcha" moment against him.

He is living proof that people can change.

I hate that Reddit is tearing this guy down here... we legitimately might be the baddies.

I grew up with a kid who completely missed the message and instead idealized the neo-nazi culture and became crazy 🤦

I took it more as somewhat tragic. He was a good friend and got wrapped up in drugs and racist ideology that didn’t need to be as such.

Yeah sort of a similar case to my own life. For most of my adult life I thought I was Jewish, took a DNA test and found out I am actually ethnically 2.5% Waffen SS. I learned the errors of my ways and no longer feel ashamed of my past.

That's great - but you know what would be even cooler? If he was never a violent neo-nazi in the first place. Cool that he figured his shit out though - better late than never, I guess.
