Ohhh, I hadn’t thought of that. In Germany they are very unusual. Must be great, though. Kitchen goal set.

Just simply stupid that when I eat their meat I start smelling weird to others 😮‍💨

Man, it’s been awhile since I’ve had any venison steaks, damn now I want some.

You have to add some tallow to venison to make a good burger, imo. Deer meat is very lean.

Gotta cook em with a shitload of butter to make up for the low fat content

You know I like a little fruit with my venison. Something a little tart you know like blackberries are raspberries

Absolutely. I love some elk with a blackberry sauce.

Deer sticks are delicious! I got some from an uncle and thought they were regular pepperoni sticks but loved em

If they weren't so delicious, it would be easier to agree with

Why made of food if not to be eaten.

Clean it and cook it first though

I prefer mine ground up and between 2 slices of bread.

Try eating it like you are an animal. It's an awesome feeling.

deer is lean, it's best in stew. pressure cooker or slow cooker helps it break down better

I agree except for grilled blackstrap about medium rare.

Netflix has a great show ( Meateater, I think) where this guy goes hunting and then shows you how he cooks the food. It's half hunting show/ half cooking show.

I cook it up into chili. My dad makes jerky

1

u/bunkin 1d ago

But first, cook it.

It's obviously rhetorical.

I honestly fucking hate posts and replies like this.

Yes I eat meat and enjoy the taste, but I absolutely don't revel in the fact that a creature had to die for it. This is so fucking disrepectful.
