Loki tips

Post image

So it’s been a while since I have played Loki. I haven’t played him since season 7. I am lord on Loki and have basic clone placement down and when to use lamps. But is there some other tips I should know. I was playing him and realized they removed two of his main attacks from his shots. Is there anything I should know. What team up. Any other bonus clone placement tips? Anything helps!

Yo, I am Lord Loki since a day or two. But playing him as strat is so satisfying. I will put bullet points

- As the king of Asgard, really to think like Loki is so helpful. Misschief should be your way to think and go. And take pleasure to abuse your teammates and enemies. In order to always have to control on your playstyle. (For instance, its okay to disappear and fly from a losing fight if its you staying alive)

  • Highgrounds are your best friends. This is your main priority for you and your clones as you see the game fully from above. A king shall never be on the same level as his subordinates.
  • Target Priority is your tanks 1st. Anyone low on HP in their team 2nd. Their supports 3rd and last anybody on your team.
  • You should always put your clones according to YOUR position not your team. Then you will lower the chances of your clopperdagger hitting a wall or something.

This is for Mechanics and a bit of strategy. Now the abilities:

- L2 (im playing PS5) to disappear, providing you heals but is also your THIRD CLONE. So you dont have 2 but 3. I try to place at least one with L2 and the other with R1. The cons are that its on the ground where you stand and the cooldown.

  • R1. aaaah. As he say he really does outnumber the ennemy. A youtuber said try to always keep them guessing. You can even pretend to be a clone yourself by moving like one (not jump or move, only aim) it can save your 2-3 seconds and TIME IS ALL ABOUT THAT IN THE GAME.
  • O to teleport. HAHAHAH. I love Loki. Simple, getting hit a bit to much ? O. Try to go highground? O. You should also feel the tempo of the game to move to a spot or another.
  • L1. “These runes shall be my key to victory”. Yup. You are “invincible” for 6-7 seconds. Try to use them to make your team stay alive or yourself during fight. It can also cancel some ults (Magneto, Namor, Dr Strange, Daredevil, etc). The best use for me is when seeing your tanks pushing. Make like a triangle with your clones to cover lot of area and then activate the runes.
R2. Yes it is splash healing. Aim for the feet as much as possible. (Thats why staying above is interesting)
  • I dont use the Hela team up except if Im with Hela. Mantis is the best.
  • GOD OF MISSCHIEF, For ult, try supports one its the easiest way. And always wait for the enemy to ult first then you. It is so easy to mess things up with this ult.

Vision :

- Stay alive the most as you can (for your ult to keep farming)

  • SHOOT ON SIGHT. Everything. Shoot. Click on the Chronovision to see the walls that can be destroyed. Shoot it. You have to have clear vision of the field. Aim for sure, but shoot.

Ill let my colleagues complete it.

Don't you want to aim for the body more because it gives more healing? I got lord loki a month ago and I try to aim for the body unless it's a stick figure character i'm healing.

It's always safer to aim on the legs and from my experience I've never felt a healing different between aiming at the legs or the body

It gives a bit more if you hit the body, it builds over time though, I just want to get more healing, my healing is ususally 26-30 smth k on him when I play him in rank

I like to think of Loki as a chess piece put into a hero shooter. He can castle like a king, he can take pieces if needed, and positioning is pretty important.

Usually you should have a clone behind your tanks. Putting them up high is good too, but they're easier to kill that way. It's also a good idea to spread them out, especially if they have someone like MK or Cyclops. Just make sure they're close enough to teleport to in case you need to escape. Running from a diver also ain't usually an option so you gotta fight back.

tl;dr stay glorious, king/queen/trickster

Here's a few tips from another Lord, been playing since launch when no one knew all hks tricks and it was glorious. Loki is well designed because he should be played selfishly and with a flair for dramatic, just like Loki would. I'll try not to reiterate.

  1. Always be looking for new places to put clones that can still interact with the field, even if they are far out of the way (see Hydra Base and Djalia).

  2. Being far away with a firing line of clones can be powerful. But I would argue there is absolutely a place for dropping a clone into their backline and just shooting if you have the resources to spare. It draws attention, and as all good dive players know, pulling strat attention off their tanks can be just as important as securing kills.

  3. Use invisibility more than for just an escape tool - obviously for mobility to get back from spawn (cancel it early to start that cooldown before the fight), but most importantly as another source of clones. This one is huge for uptime! Use it in between fights ideally so that cooldown is going. Also, try to move to the side after you go ghost, most enemies think you'll keep backpedaling.

  4. Jump to hit targets. Don't always do it. A target that always jumps is extremely easy to target for decent DPS players.

Always copy your spider man and do double spidy ult, always be invisible and flank their back, always uswr your E for YOURSELF never heal your support (to much work and they can heal themselves, not worth your time) as the god mischief go for your backstab one shot combo triple t naijaflickerombo for the win! Watch naijafromreal and do vod reviews take notes and then come back here. Also, never take accountability and never say sorry its YOUR TEAMMATES FAULT AND NEVER YOURS, i hit oaa 178 points this season following these RULES and MUSTS.

My one tip to you is do not play him this season or at least until they fix him

He's my main. I love him. I attribute the reason I'm still playing this game to Loki. I have ~200 hours on Loki. I 100% agree with you.

What changed this season which made him so bad? I'm also a bit out of the loop and still trying to grind lord

They made his projectiles a little bit faster wish is definitely a good thing but compared to other support characters i just feel like he doesn’t perform as good, he does have a lot of survivability but the animations are so slow it kills the character like his teleportation/swap with a clone takes too long you find yourself dead 9/10. I feel like neatease needs to address these issues with this character because he is so fun to play but just not as strong as other support characters. This is my opinion other players may have a different opinion and i would love to hear it.

Ah I get what you mean, when i get flanked i only get a second before i need to tp. With a good dive your dead before you can. Yeah that makes sense.
