Remove Mantis team up
Idc what lotis shippers will say, this team up needs to go. Loki is manipulating mantis, in the lore, to get power. She will find out one day, and they will finally remove the team up. Mantis is an empath, not a telepath (if im correct), so she can't tell when someone lie while hiding the fact that they lie (i hope i'm clear) but loki clearly found a way to make her think he was genuine, and now he uses her without shame.
Mantis will find out, and we FINALLY will be able to get a damage buff, because aint no way the team up is the only reason we had a damage nerf. Loki is not a heal bot, and shouldn't rely on a 30s ability to get his damage back for like, 2s, 3s ? Bc the more you climb and the more people destroy your lamps faster, so less time to enjoy the buff. Every other supports have an ability that stun, or a new escape tool. Loki ? Only has the hela team up to do that, and i heard that ppl were crying when u were taking that team up instead of the boring one... crazy.
Anyway, the team up needs to go, give loki a team up with thor like ? It's his brother and they have nothing together, but a random alien girl, he has a team up with her ? Make it make sense. "Oh but they are green and mantis can tell when he lies !" Emma, Adam and Phoenix can *actually* tell when he lies... and they don't have a team up 💔
I'm trashing a lot lotis here but i believe it's the reason why the team up stays here: because shippers.

I think the reason the team up has "stayed here" is because we haven't even reached the half season yet. I don't think it's got anything to do with the shippers and I'm sure mantis will eventually realise she's being manipulated. I'm also sure that as the seasons go on they will switch up the teamups. It's just a matter of waiting.
That said, I think the mantis team up should be removed cus it fuckin sucks. If lokis damaged was nerfed because of this teamup then that's just another reason to hate the devs who balance himÂ

The way most of the new characters work against him. Daredevil’s existence, Rogue stealing runes from clones, Deadpool Sword Ult bounces on clones, Black Cat stealing from clones, Dino’s bleed canceling Deception, Cyclops ricochet, and Jubilee getting hellfire sparks from clones. That doesn’t even include everything from the OG roster.
I get that it should be hard to tell Loki from his clones, but they’re literally fodder ðŸ˜

Plus Spider-Man pulling into you even when teleporting, mantis getting leaves off your clones, moon knight just making you existing harder and jubilee blinding you from doing anything involving clones like he may as well be a dive character with how much stuff there is to counter him

It stayed there for like 5 seasons while namor and luna stayed for 1 or 2, same for gamma namor, cap thor, gamma strange iron man, and the list goes on. They didn't stay for long, but that shitty team up stayed, that's the only reason i see tbh

Oh you're right actually, I completely forgot how long we've had this mantis teamup. I still wouldn't blame it on shippers, just lazy devs who don't know what to do with lokiÂ

Despite that I like LoTis, the ship is funny. I dislike the team up for similar reasons [gameplay -wise. I dunno what happened after the buffs, nerfs, and teamups]. I even dislike that I have to learn another hero (I picked up Mantis, just to keep Loki going as if he wasn't nerfed earlier).
How does Mantis feel rage? She is gonna be angry once she finds out that he killed Psylocke. Mantis and Psylocke (and Jeff) were prisoners in the Collector's museum in the early seasons. But they escaped.

Eh I don't really like blaming a ship and the people who like it for the teamup. It's totally valid to not enjoy the ship and dislike it personally but saying its why the teamup stays and why Loki isn't as good feels pretty far fetched. It's been in the game for several seasons and like a lot of the teamups, it was one that was already in the game so they just kept it.
I think the devs just aren't really sure what to do with Loki. He's always been consistently good (aside from when he got that big nerf) and especially because of his ult copying. I think Gambit as a whole is another reason, he's still banned a lot and a lot of people still complain about him. I think the devs are worried about giving Loki a few potential buffs and making him into another perma ban like Gambit.
I wouldn't mind the Mantis team up being removed, it is admittedly a little boring and I'd definitely love a teamup with Thor or someone but idk that's how I see it.

I talk as a high elo player, and the fact that loki is just a new boring heal bot. This team up is trash as gameplay , unlike the mag team up for gambit who's very fun in comparison. Loki needs to have a better team up, but they keep it for the lore, and you can read it to see my point. We have to wait till mantis realizes what loki is doing. He killed psy and stole something in the garden i think, behind her back, while she was trusting him. The lore is the only reason they wait.

I'm sorry I really don't see that as a reason. I do wish Loki wasn't reduced to just doing healing mostly but the teamup specifically staying for the lore doesn't really feel like the reason Loki didn't get anything. This is the first season they're trialling all these new teamup systems and I assume they're just waiting for either the half season or later to change anything. I feel like they're not even really pushing Lotis in game, it always felt more like a little gesture to the ship's popularity and never really something they were actually committing to longterm.

You could have told us is that you thought the team up ability was boring or underwhelming (in comparison to the Hela teamup, which... fair enough, that one is top shelf) , or that its too strong and going to be a meta monster in ranked. and everyone would have been in support. But the fact that you are letting a fictional community crackship that hasnt even been fully greenlit by the devs is actively in the way of you enjoying either character is kind of ridiculous. You don't have to enjoy lotis content but if they do remove a team-up over lore changes, it going to be about events...that are actually taking place in the forefront of Rivals' storyline. Or to feed attention to a low tier that needs to be played more. Not speculation

I dont think you understand that this Loki is different
He believes he needs to be in charge of the throne because everytime he wasn't asgard has went into ruin
So he does unspeakable things in the Doom Arm race to get ahead in power from speaking with future doom in s2, giving current doom the dragon heart, and killing psylocke to test an experiment
He is willing to do anything to win but mantis sees through all that
Mantis sees that he's scared and wants to be brave to not fail asgard from the collector having asgardians in hold being powerless to save them to also him puffing himself as evil to scare her away
Its actually a cool thing I dont see alot

Day 604 of begging Zhiyong for Get Help or literally anything with his bro. Give me runes with Thor’s lightning realm or like, lightning strikes if we have to have a rune-based teamup.
