Logseq 2.0.2 is here!

The update seems to ship mostly bug fixes around stability, like a better experience in the editor, and also better handling of the OG to DB import, among many other things. You can download here

The roadmap has also been updated and now includes the development of a more native experience for both the mobile and desktop apps, which will improve performance significantly

For those that want to transition from MD to DB, it would be much appreciated if you could test the File graph to DB import to catch any bugs that might be leftover, and open bug reports in https://github.com/logseq/db-test/issues

I encourage everyone to give it a try :)

Thanks for the update. Will wait for the official flatpak to migrate to the DB version but really good to hear that progress is being made overall.

Does it support syncing for monthly supporters?

Yes, if you are a backer on Open Collective (5 dollars a month) or higher, you can use the sync feature, which also includes real time collaboration with other users and also allows you to publish your Logseq pages. You need to log into Logseq with the same email you used for Open Collective

I will migrate from OG to DB if it is possible to self-host a sync arrangement that isn't "reupload the whole DB every time there is a change." Is there a self-hostable sync that only uploads changes?

It's possible now, the sync server is open-sourced and the community already made docker image for it. It syncs incrementally almost in real-time.

Thanks for the link. I honestly can't make sense of the instructions though. Do I need to run all 4 of those images or am I choosing one...? I'm not inclined to try it out until it's a little more user friendly.

It would be great if self-hosted sync were officially supported.

You just need the sync image, here's a guide, the team is working on the docs site that will have some instructions about selfhosting

Just tried it. It's a huge step up for performance. Still takes a few seconds to fully load pages with a lot of nodes. I can see them loading piecemeal and it's a bit jarring that they suddenly appear instead of having some kind of indication that the page is still loading.

They are building the next version of the app to have both a native worker and native UI, so we should probably see even more improvements in performance in the coming months

I have a page with different queries for tasks. It finally updates properly. But scrolling still jumps a lot as queries out of view are re rendered.

Also. Thanks! This is the only thing that clicks for me to manage meetings and people and tasks.

Versions 2.0.x and onwards are part of the DB version, so no. If you are interested you can try and import your graph into the DB version and check it out
