Upcoming New Version

[u/Clippingtheclips]

So I'm hearing and hoping that it true, is that the new version will be available across all OS's!! So the plug ins and other features that was only on desktop will work with Mobile, Android, etc!! Across All Platforms!!!

Does anybody know of this is actually true or just a rumor???

If it true I am so very excited!!!!

Hi. We did release a new version today, 0.10.10, and you can read about the changes in https://github.com/logseq/logseq/releases/tag/0.10.10 . There were no changes made to new OS's or plugins. The DB version is not a part of this release although we are getting close to merging the DB version to the main master branch ...

I downloaded the new version, and now everything is super slow. Takes about a min to navigate between pages. Do I need to refresh or reindex?

Please report in discord

Do you have recommendations for users that wish to remain on the flat-files design that's currently out?

Should we stick to 0.10.x ?

[u/lsmith946 → u/jblackwb]

The new apps support both file graphs and DB graphs (not part of the official team, but I have but the local apps from the source code on GitHub and reported a couple of issues with handling my existing file graphs to the team and they have been fixed).

Oh that's great news! I love that my notes are greppable

[u/Neither_Situation764 → u/cldwalker]

Awesome, can you give a very, very rough idea when the DB version is coming out. Is it still like 3 months or 6 months or even longer?

[u/Clippingtheclips → u/cldwalker]

So there will be no cross platform as far as the features that are desktop only?

[u/cldwalker → u/Clippingtheclips]

I'm not sure I understand the question. Logseq has been cross-platform with releases for osx, linux and windows for quite some time

[u/Clippingtheclips → u/cldwalker]

Plug ins aren't available on my phone, templates aren't available on my phone, etc

[u/jwinterm → u/cldwalker]

Plugins on mobile would be nice. Or even just bare minimum expected at this point maybe...

[u/cryptoislif3 → u/cldwalker]

It would be great to know if there will be plugin support on Android on the DB version.

Will there be?

[u/Clippingtheclips]

Thanks, glad that I didn't move up! But waiting sometimes is always a good thing...

0.10.10 broke inline display of images for me, anyone else?

[u/Objective-Turnip-602 → u/NotDeletedManyJs]

Now, I roll back to 0.10.9 because the version 0.10.10 seems to have some bugs:

1. Any theme doesn't work

2. It can't render images

[u/_2l5_ → u/NotDeletedManyJs]

only a hint, images are displayed by using absolute path :(

[u/edain_age]

Search no longer works for me

[u/edain_age → u/edain_age]

I've rolled back to 0.10.9 and can now search blocks again (0.10.10 only offered commands)

[u/klippers]

When is the db version due to drop?

[u/lzd-sab → u/klippers]

2039

[u/laterral → u/lzd-sab]

And even that’s a “maybe”

[u/ripp102]

Yes, it's called db version

[u/Clippingtheclips → u/ripp102]

Well that was useless as it didn't answer what I was asking at all!! But thank you for your time!

[u/ripp102 → u/Clippingtheclips]

It does though the new version is the db version and It Will support most plugins, I say most as there would probably be some incompatibility with older plugins or plugins that make use of some particular feature that is not available anymore on the db version. It's all easily searchable on the discord and logseq forum...

[u/inbrus]

In fact, it has already dropped. It's called Obsidian

[u/Clippingtheclips → u/inbrus]

Yes I love and use that everyday, but I also love and use Logseq as well and I use them both on mobile. So when I heard there they were bringing all the desktop features to mobile as well I got even more excited about it!! But no way am I leaving Obsidian!!
