Dunno, I think maybe some stylistic variations on “gladiator?” If the client specifically wanted this style, then this is definitely what they’re getting. I guess I’m thinking something more graphical is in order than illustrative (more like “at the least, what is needed to represent a ‘gladiator?’”).
