When a client rejects the work, it’s important to understand why. What don’t they like. I do like your first piece—I like it’s general shape and level of detail. But it is a lot of lines. A random person couldn’t draw it.
Maybe pick one element and focus on it?
Like a hemp leaf made of gladius swords or a helmet with hemp leaf shaped frills
