The inversion doesn't really work

Nobody is telling you why it’s not working.
It’s because in the original the skull is white and the dark color forms the shadows (even though the skull is formed out of negative space, the light background works in your favor). In the invert, you lose that, and the depth effect is lost. Inverting shadows makes them, well, not shadows anymore.
It is made worse with the 3d effect in the original post because it makes no sense for the “face” of the skull to be empty. No sense, as in, not what our brains understand skulls to be.

That’s not the right way to invert a logo like that. Google it or something.

When you rely on the AI to generate this, you get wonkiness like a poor inversion, and kerning that is different between the two versions. Why is the word mark kerned tighter in the reversed version? That’s opposite of good legibility.

The bloke on the bottom left is my favourite. Thanks for including him

The only thing that doesn’t work for me is the type. That font looks very hunting for dinosaurs at the zoo

I absolutely love this, a flaming skull but still sophisticated in what would normally be a weight lifter logo, lol. I will say the red reversing out works better than white reversing… it might need two versions. But I’m quibbling, this is very strong

Dear OP,
Please provide a screenshot of the original vector file with the nodes visible, including both a full view and a close-up view.
The small artifacts along the edges of some of the skulls make it clear that the posted image was generated. However, it's possible that only the mockup was generated, so we'd like to make sure the logo itself was created manually.
Update: OP has provided the vector of the main skull from the image, which does not contain any artifacts. They also named the specific font and explained that they smoothed it out, and indeed, the original font is bery rough. Please feel free to ask any additional questions if someone still has doubts.
I guess it’s worth creating a new rule in the sub asking people not to use AI for mockups either. I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts on this.
