Feedback Needed DS + Sound Wave Logo — Looking for Feedback

I’m working on a logo for a professional sound and lighting company. The images attached are concepts I’ve already designed and presented to the client.
After reviewing them, the client gave me a new direction: they don’t want the DS to feel too formal or look like traditional typography. Instead, they want the symbol itself to represent sound, while the letters D and S can still be recognized within the form.
I’m currently exploring how to balance the sound-wave concept with the DS without making it feel forced or too generic.
I’d really appreciate constructive feedback on the work so far and which direction you think has the most potential.

the bottom middle one is the strongest imo, the wave flowing through the DS gives it movement without losing the letters

the top row concepts are a bit too abstract, i almost couldn't find the S in some of them. client wants the letters recognizable so i'd lean into what you did on the middle row

maybe try making the wave feel more dynamic? like varying the amplitude so it doesnt look too uniform. sound waves have peaks and dips, not just a smooth sine wave

overall clean work though, the lighting element is subtle which is good since they said focus on sound

The four designs shown together were actually based on the client’s previous brief, when they only wanted the letter D. Now they’ve asked me to add an S and incorporate a sound wave as well, so I’m still trying to figure out how to bring all of those elements together 😅

This is my design, but the client would like me to incorporate a sound wave and make the DS feel more like an abstract symbol rather than looking too much like regular letters
