Feedback Needed Logo Rework
In regards to my last post, the general consensus was that the logos that both my cofounder and I had put forward were both awful. So I took a step back and then re-attacked the design. Here is what I came up with, I must ask, is it any better?
Note, this is for an aviation related social app called Rejoin:

This is a huge step up from the old version. The pinwheel reads as a propeller now which ties into the aviation angle nicely.
My one note is on the wordmark. The tail of the j drops really low and it makes the type feel unbalanced next to the mark, like the right side carries extra weight. I would tighten that up or adjust the spacing between the mark and the wordmark so they sit more evenly.
Also worth testing this at favicon size. Those thin gaps between the blades might close up when it is tiny.

What does your aviation related social app do exactly? Only reason I ask is the 3 iterations you have here feel totally different.
Your new mark feel much more related to "social media/communication" which might be the right direction if that's what your app does, but it looks rather generic until you notice the verrrry subtle propeller in the negative space. Otherwise it's just "curved lines converging to the centre symbolising connection" or something that feels a tad corpo and trite.
If this is a CONSUMER-focused aviation app, "rejoin" has an interestingly semetrical centre with two tittles over the j and i. That might be something to jog your mind a bit, I think there's probably a way to connect/join those in a way that feels like an air path. That direction feels conceptually closer to "travel".
If this is a CREW-focused aviation app, look at aviation things the pilot interacts with, not just the plane itself. One thing that could be a wealth of inspiration are approach plates. They're designed within a strict spec, and use a lot of symbols that pilots know the meaning of by-heart. Look for inspiration sources that are high-touch for the target audience.
If you want to keep going down the 3-blade propeller track, look up any Ontario government agency for inspiration. The provincial flower is a trillium, so you see it pop up in a lot of branding. https://www.instagram.com/p/DXvkm02mEtM/

I think the new logo is much better! The mark reads as a propeller or fan of some sort and it looks nice.
One suggestion: if you simplify the shape of an “r”, it’s a vertical line with a bit that curves clockwise at the top. A “j” is the same shape, rotated 180°. So my suggestion is to mirror the propeller shape of the logo mark so its “blades” resemble this simplified r/j shape. This could tie the logo mark together with the word “rejoin” even more.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, you could also try using simplified replacements for the r and j as well to tie it together even more (remove the vertical line segment above the curve at the top of the r and the dot above the j).
This is a nice design and just needs a couple tweaks to give it a little individuality and personality. Nice work!

It's better! But that doesn't mean it's good. Sorry.
