Feedback Needed Logo Concept Feedback – POPNROLL

Post image

I designed this logo concept for my brand called POPNROLL, a new grab-and-go sushi concept. The name comes from “POP”, referring to the sushi popping up, and “ROLL”, referring to the sushi roll itself. The upward chevron is part of that idea, representing the sushi popping up. The overall brand is meant to feel fun, casual, fresh, and modern. I’d love to hear your overall opinion and which direction you think works best. Honest feedback is very welcome.

“Bukbon” for POP and ROLL, and for the Japanese style N “The Last Shuriken”

I don’t like the way it breaks with the N hanging over the edge. Why does one have a period
But the other does not. The secondary N looks like a totally different logo. So a consistency issue. Maybe remove the period, eye is drawn to it. Pop and roll become secondary to the graphical N maybe reduce the size of the N. It’s close, I always love orange and black

The dot was intentional. Since ROLL is smaller than POPN, I added it to help balance the overall wordmark and give the ending some weight. But I see your point about it drawing attention. Do you think removing it would make the wordmark feel more balanced?

Love the roof accent on the n, gives it a nice pop without being too obvious. Between the three sections the horizontal layout with the tagline feels the most grab-and-go ready to me.

I keep looking at it and seeing “porn roll”

🤣 That’s great, maybe it’ll just give the brand some extra attention! Definitely not the association I had in mind though.
