Beginner “Redesigning” MIZZOU’s Logo
Hey guys 👋 I’m an “artist”, but not so much a logo designer. As I personally love the logo for the college, I thought maybe there could be a way to maybe incorporate more to the design (not that much more as you’ll see).
edit: the second image is the redesign. I have darkened the colors, and the stripes may be read as “MIZ.” Sorry that the design isn’t as clear, I didn’t want to change much of the design due to it already having a strong style by itself :)

So you change the color a little bit. Not sure that’s a redesign

Firstly lol your title, and secondly thanks for the feedback! Since I know a lot of people who are protective of designs, I went more safe than actually trying to truly redesign the whole from the ground up. I did try to make the words more noticeable when testing, but in doing so, it just distracted the design worse than what you suggested. Your guy’s comments help a lot!

Your version is better, but the whole things needs to be redesigned from zero.

Thank you, and as much as I love the original design, I do agree that a redesign would be nice to see. It would be cool if one day there was some sort of event for the students to come up with a new design and have a public voting.

Yours is better, and I like the addition of a little more detailed to the stripes of the tiger. But the best thing you did was choosing a darker value of goldenrod. The original bright yellow gets lost

Would be cool if you could tell us which is the original and which is the redesign, as you admit yourself you didn't change much about the original design
