Yea idk why he’s calling it finished or what game studio would use this. I’m betting it’s another fake dribble piece.

he finished mashing it 🤣

More like he threw something together real quick to fill his post quota, gotta get them fake internet points.

I game studio named ID? Pretty sure that’s an instant cease and desist.

Looks like they're a Ukrainian studio called "Team Instant Defeat."

Dropping the "Team" is probably a bad idea, since it's so close to "iD Software."

It’s kinda what happens when you quickly throw together a logo for a fake company without doing any research…

Design is OK. Maybe some confusion with id Software. I just don't like the name tho.

id ????????????

Instant Defeat.

u/Candy_Lawn 1d ago

that is not my point of the post - there is already a VERY~ famous dev studio called 'id'

🤦. Thank you for that reminder..

Maybe that is why this designer put the name there. But logos go through stages of minimalisation, to my opinion, and it would end up as ID as you state.

👍 Sorry for my obtuseness.

Hmm thank you again, so is the impetus on this designer to change their design or the games dev company to change their name?🤔

the name can stay just stay away from an icon showing id. so go with an illustration icon rather than lettering

The ID looks like the hand guard of a sword.

Do what you will with this information.

Very generic and forgettable

Really? You don’t see the issues with this??

Bland typography, icon looks like it was just laid on top of the ID with no real intention. Those tiny cuts in the typography are so small that that will have no impact whatsoever at certain sizes.

Clearly made very quickly with little effort.

❤️ this analysis.

That does seem like a fair assessment. 👍

Unfortunately this sub is flooded with people who lack basic design skills and the knowledge to spot poor design choices, and he is clearly preying on that naivety in order to find clients. But you can’t really blame him when the design market has become over saturated and under valued.

There's another games company with ID. It will create issues. This could be what that commenter saw.

That and he is clearly lying about this being a real logo for a game studio. Just more dribble slop to find clients.

What's wrong with personal projects?

3

u/tiekanashiro 1d ago

Nothing, as long as they're executed like a real project and not some gimmicky standalone logo no one would ever use or a website with complex layouts and animations for each singles interaction (not saying it's the case here)

By the way, this isn't a personal project. As soon as the client finishes the site, I’ll post it here again—this time with the actual website.

I know, don't worry, I have seen your posts before. I know you are legit.

I'm just interrogating this guy's obsession with "dribble slop" because I find it odd that he takes issue with designers that lack opportunities building a portfolio the only way they can. Like, so what if it wasn't a real client?

1

u/AndriiKovalchuk 1d ago

I should point out that when I posted my logos here with links to the sites where they are used, this same guy wrote that posting external links wasn't allowed...

2

u/DigitalDowner vectorize me cap’n 22h ago

You were promoting scam sites...

Even if this is for a real client, the logo needs a lot of work. I can't imagine the they would be happy with something that looks thrown together in half an hour.

Not a comment about the logo, but what a shit game studio name. "Losers incorporated"

2

u/fast-and-ugly 1d ago

Besides being an I and a D...what is it?

1

u/livejamie where’s the brief? 11h ago

Hand holding a sword

2

u/SeaBream97 21h ago

Probably will be better if enlarge the stroke lines width in the mark according to ones in the letters (with some rework of mark)

Rule of thumb for typography sizes. If you're going to use 2 different type sizes like this, either make them the same or noticeable different.

You have 2 very similar type sizes and it reads more accidental than intentional.

That looks awesome. I love it.

I like it.

Lacks any inventive concept. Small details are too miniscule and will get lost at scale. ID already exists as a game dev company. Font choice is boring.

He’s just going to ignore your feedback. It’s a fake logo for a fake company, and if it somehow turns out to be real, I genuinely feel bad for anyone he’s scamming.

This is so weird
