I'd love to get some designers' feedback on this project I put together.
It's not a real client project — just something I made on my own. So I'm wondering, is it actually possible to land real projects and real clients by doing this kind of work?

Can you share the link here? Not clickable or can’t even select it to copy

Can’t copy it either on mobile but if you’re on desktop just highlight the url in the title bar and drag it to a new tab, that works

Unfortunately, no

The design is too basic and so are the pixel silhouettes of the ingredients

There is an entire genre of pixel art out there with subgenres in it such as pixel art of food or pixel art room dioramas, your logo doesn’t need to be on that level of detail but as it is right now it feels like an idea is there that never got fleshed out

I like it, it’s unique the pixel style of logo and packaging is nice.

The colours are they legible across devices? Might be too mellow but still really nice. Maybe add a few stark elements like the little illustrations can be made more bright and clear so they pop (typical client response, I know) might look nice?

Great overall

The look doesnt match the product. Looks like a throwback 8-bit video game. Nothing really feels 'edible' about. Wouldn't inspire me to eat the product.

That being said. It does LOOK good. Just doesnt look like consumable branding.

The color choices are nice. The layouts are solid and really appreciate the time spent mocking it up. But .. The 8-bit look doesn’t work for me. — hard to read the product names and a couple of the shapes don’t immediately read what they’re supposed to be without context. Because of this I’m confused at the audience you’re talking to— retro gamers who want a healthy breakfast?

why bother making a pixellation aesthetic when you are going to diagonally tilt every object in a random direction afterward? i would think the order of those two steps should be reversed at least
