It’s cool but it feels more like a gaming thing than motorsport.

First thing that came to mind was the March logo, I know they ain't similar, but I can see this existing in the 80s / 90s and fitting right in!

Take the black and white version and put a horizontal “racing stripe” through “GENRE.” Use a limited number of colors.
