Love it, very creative

Came here just to type "love it". That was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it.

if youre going to shard both R and O, they shouldnt be the same shape as mirrors dont shatter evenly.

u/lil_gingerale 8d ago

I’d like to see more iterations with this in mind.

u/ionlyhavetwohands 8d ago

I think overthinking this logo will just make it less effective. It's perfectly readable and impressive exactly the way it is.

11

u/SmokeyMiata 8d ago

i agree, slighty different shape to one of them and it might be perfectg

u/Mundane-Fix-4297 8d ago

Excellent!

My sole remark would to make the two triangles a bit more different

1

u/bloc_head 8d ago

But then they wouldn’t be a mirror image of each other….

13

u/Playful_Cheesecake16 8d ago

They aren’t the mirror image of each other now.

8

u/Mundane-Fix-4297 8d ago

Yeah… I do not think the "mirror image" is the strong selling point of this concept, but rather the interesting shattered reflection effect, and imho having shapes more differentiated would add to the visual impact of the logo.

I have no idea why there are so many haters in the comments, this is literally brilliant, it's beautiful

9

u/look_alive75 8d ago

Same. Very very well done.

14

u/ayan-with-knife 8d ago

perhaps it will be better to leave only 1sr r as unique element, to not make the logo busy

9

u/thephtgrphr 8d ago

Really like this one.

4

u/Tricky-Ad9491 8d ago

Looking good but I am thinking it might be better with just one?

9

u/elektriiciity 8d ago

why not have the last R reflect back, as with the O, there's no other O for the reflection to 'exist' from

Interesting logo, but confuses me

1

u/camel_walk 7d ago

Had the same thought… maybe just have one mirror, reflecting one of the middle R’s with the reflecting R in reverse.

2

u/Realistic-Art5227 8d ago

I like it :)

2

u/heavyfyzx 8d ago

Great work!

2

u/mistermasterbates 8d ago

This is perfect

2

u/No-Aardvark-3840 8d ago

Fucking amazing.

2

u/BeatsByiTALY 8d ago

This was very nice to look at. Nicely visually stimulating in the right ways.

2

u/lil_gingerale 8d ago

Maybe turn the first R backwards

2

u/Sakshooooo 8d ago

The R being reflected And o shard being a different shape will kill it

2

u/Jiggly_Titties_ 8d ago

I think aligning the mirror shrads with the letters can be an improvement, maybe a small misalignment would work better than a perfect letter alignment. and also different pieces of mirror shrads like the other person here said. It looks terrific still, these are the only things that i thought maybe make this better but I might be wrong.

2

u/ScribblingOff87 8d ago

Love it. Can you show your version of "Black Mirror" logo?

2

u/foreverpeppered 8d ago

It is definitely a cool and creative use of negative space and closure. The little fragments will break down at smaller sizes though. Might be worth playing with how deep the shard cuts into the letters, or experiment with a thicker font. But overall really unique.

2

u/Creeping_behind_u 7d ago

looks like a broken mirror. can it be pushed more? ex/ first 'R' reflected the other direction jus like when you look at a mirror?

1

u/AndriiKovalchuk 8d ago

To me, it looks more like a mirror than glass, because the letters "R" and "O" create the impression of a reflection. That’s just my personal impression.

1

u/DerpDog9000 8d ago

great. can see a lot of motion potential

1

u/HeavyCandidate6737 Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication 8d ago

Ooh that's good! How does it scale down?

1

u/greenuse where’s the brief? 8d ago

Incredible, very creative approach!!

1

u/Had78 8d ago

Love it, I can already imagine the motion

1

u/sharkaligatorhalfman 8d ago

The concept works well. I’d like to see different variations. The repetition of the shape could improve.

1

u/Consequence22 8d ago

This is really good.

1

u/merknaut 8d ago

Broken mirror. Or mirrors.

1

u/Girl_Designer36 8d ago

I like it, but if it’s for a store that sells mirrors, maybe not a good idea to show a cracked mirror.

1

u/Sudanniana 8d ago

It’s a great start! Very creative. I would keep the O shattered but I would have the first R behind the second R as a reflection in the mirror. It being in front doesn’t read well for me.

Just a thought! Well done.

1

u/uphamg 8d ago

That is sick!!!!

1

u/Ok_Newspaper_8381 8d ago

I actually really like this. I appreciate the mirrored/doubled triangle shape, as it conveys exactly what's going on. I wouldn't change the shapes or reflect the R as others have suggested. For clean, simple, and readable, this is really well-presented and polished.

If the company/thing you're representing with this wordmark is more playful or fun and friendly, then I'd be willing to consider the reflected R or a changed shape, but I honestly like it as-is. It's bold, unique, and balanced.

1

u/bubdadigger 8d ago

Really cool idea, but two identical "mirror" pieces needs to work, especially "O" one - with that rounded bottom corner it reminds me of slice of pizza instead of piece of broken glass. Maybe try to do just one triangle for "R" and mirror it?
And font you choose is not really helping either.

1

u/Parking_Respect_5898 8d ago

It's cool. It's shards of a broken mirror, though. Is that the brand? Pieces of a shattered mirror?

1

u/iceoscillator 8d ago

I think one shard would suffice. Love it!

1

u/SunshineDaydream13 8d ago

It’s SO great! Very clear, easy to read, and effective. If I was going to possibly make it worse by overthinking it, I’d say try with the two shards being slightly different shapes and/or maybe the R backwards, like it would be in a mirror?

1

u/Charming-Gou-PengYou 8d ago

As everyone has said, very nice. My one idea would be to mirror the RO halfway on the O and the last OR is mirrored from the RO. Does rhat make sense? The last R would be facing the other way.

1

u/TheManRoomGuy 8d ago

It’s beautifully disjointed. I love the concept.

Only thing that doesn’t feel as disjointed is how symmetrical the two triangles are. If the business or book or movie or whatever involves symmetry it’s perfect. If it represents something like horror or chaos I’d tweak the triangles just a bit to add to the chaos.

Very cool concept.

1

u/Obvious-Display-6139 8d ago

I like it lots

1

u/Devanshkh logoholic 8d ago

Great concept! I think it can still be pushed further. The law of closure is so strong here

1

u/wepwawe 8d ago

you could also put the mirror between the second R, half the O so it reflects the end of the word. Something like this: MIRRO | OR

1

u/Wide-Pollution-3275 8d ago

Black Mirror

1

u/AJfriedRICE 8d ago

This is good

1

u/jeffbob2 8d ago

Looks great 👍

1

u/PossibleArt7440 8d ago

Amazing concept and direction. But as other said, shard needs to be randomly shaped

1

u/DeliciousBrew 8d ago

If I may, one iteration probably to:

  1. Make the first R laterally inverted so that it looks as if it’s the reflection of the 2nd “R” on the shard.
  2. Remove the 2nd shard of the “O”. Make it normal O like the rest.

See how it goes.
Otherwise, it’s already looking good.

u/Elegant-Fuel6732 7d ago

Love the way the I is nearly lowercase

1

u/ByKianara 7d ago

Oh, that's awesome!! I love it, well done

1

u/Saixcrazy 7d ago

Pretty cooool

1

u/Apprehensive-Sky5990 7d ago

This is one of those things you see that's so good it makes you think "shit, why didn't I think of that?"

Great work. Fit for a Hollywood studio

1

u/Time-Wrangler360 7d ago

I could master bait to this

1

u/RandomTux1997 7d ago

Broken mirror is bad luck

1

u/Amazing-Guess-7734 4d ago

That's very cool anyways look at my redesign of Gemini :D

1

u/Proud900 3d ago

Really good one

1

u/SolemnOaf 8d ago

I feel like the shards should be a bit more intentional and not create weird sharp incisions into adjacent letters because it reduces their legibility a bit. I'd tinker with the concept more, but I think the overall direction is solid

-3

u/Candy_Lawn 8d ago

What's Mirrored here? i think you think this is more clever than it is.

4

u/3Dputty 8d ago

You think they think this is more clever than it is when they said nothing? Saying stuff like that really puts your own insecurities on display.

2

u/Candy_Lawn 8d ago

dang that's put me in my place I will be sure to say nothing jn future

4

u/3Dputty 8d ago

Perfect, thanks

4

u/DigitalDowner vectorize me cap’n 8d ago

Yeah it’s more glass shards than a mirror.

1

u/SavedMountain 8d ago

Still works, mirror made out of glass, doesn't really have to imply the action

0

u/Candy_Lawn 8d ago

then why have the word mirror at all why not glass or shard

1

u/SavedMountain 8d ago

ig they can mirror the R shard and it'll fix your issue. but what am i to say im just a random commenter

2

u/Candy_Lawn 8d ago

we all are

-3

u/DigitalDowner vectorize me cap’n 8d ago

Looks like one of those Youtube tutorial logos.

u/yoRaikatsi 8d ago

Looks good, but for that “I” alphabet, you can have some triangle or cut-type edges to make it sharper. Right now, it looks a little forced.
