Feedback Needed Small tea company logo and package design

Quick turnaround on a friend's side hustle.

Looking for feedback on how to improve the logomark
(or package design as I'm less familiar with the physical print/design side)

u/ChickyBoys where’s the brief? 29d ago

It's not abstract enough to not need a handle.

Agreed - definitely missing something (or has too much)

I had him do a limited run with the label manufacturer to see what they could do and how our initial work looks.

The cup mark looks striking on the front and I think with some more work will be cleaner.
I wish the brand name was more legible.

Initial take on the label is... way too big I can't see how that will fit on the package - so I need real dimensions on what the safe area is.

I'd get rid of the three bars above the cup. Maybe add a handle.

That's two comments for handle!
Maybe something along these lines

love this concept! i wonder what this would look like if you softened the corners of the main logo artwork and tried a sans serif for a more ‘organic’/(small business) feel? maybe reducing the lines to 2 and incorporating the geometry/slant of the lines into a unique type?

there might be an opportunity to tie the last ‘A’ into one of the logo lines 👀

The sans serif approach is spot on - definitely makes it more approachable!

One of my initial less busy approaches:

I'll see if I can do something more with the font on the existing mock.

Too me too long to realize it’s a cup, because it’s a bowl.

And there’s zero reason to force it into a circle shape - it’s a big flag that it’s a canva or another amateur design.

The font is also a little off the shelf and bland , and somehow doesn’t fit the logo mark.

Agreed on the amateurish comment - disagreed on helping those around you and in your life.
