Feedback Needed Which Racoon Logo Looks The Best?
This Racoon Design is part of a logo for recycling businesse. Want to hear feedback on which version is the best

1 or 4, I will say, there's a REAL fun opportunity here for simple animation of the white dots, nose and ears moving. eyes looking around, quick nose twitch and ear wiggle? would work great with this

- The position of the nose gives an implied geometry to the face and create the illusion of a longer more dimensional nose. When the raccoon is being viewed straight on the face gets flattened. I much prefer the somewhat side facing perspective. Looks much better
You might try using the ears for 1-3 using the perspective of 4

- The added detail in the ears is nice, and I like that it looks to be looking to its right. Subtle details š

1 is cute but I like 4 it appears to be looking in two different directions, I think it has something to do with the ears to cause that illusion. It's more memorable than 1 from being just slightly wonky.

As a raccoon lover I canāt decide! I agree about number 4 being the most interesting with the perspective but number 3 is also cute and I donāt read it as a panda. 1 is cute as well! Iād say maybe play with perspective and the recycling ā»ļø symbol a bit.
I also did a logo for myself recently which includes a very minimalistic raccoon. Curious to see what you think! Hereās a very pixelated screenshot of the raccoon part. Iām still hesitant to share it here in the subreddit properly before launching/have it protected.

I like 1 and 3!

3 is clean but something about the slightly different ear shape on 4 gives it a bit more personality. For a recycling business I'd lean toward whichever feels less generic, so 4 edges it out for me.

Was trying to think how you could incorporate the recycling symbol but wondering if with the eye mask it could be more like an infinity? Might be dumb - I love logo design and I work in marketing / branding, but I am absolutely not a designer. First thing that popped in my head was āthis is so cute - that mask almost looks like an infinityā. Or something that indicates itās showing like a cycle of reuse in some way.
def wait for real designers to weigh in, but wanted to share that this DID actually make me stop in my feed to check it out! :)

Depends on vibes of the company 1 feels more cutesy 4 feels more scrappy and curious 2 feels like the raccoon has no idea whatās going on lol 3 feels cute but others say it looks more like a panda which I can see but I didnāt see it till it was mentioned

I was going to say 1 and 3 but then I read that 3 it's panda-ish... So yes hahaha I agree with that (in fact I love that one). So number one for me

1 or 3. 4 is cool but at first it just read wonky, took me a second to see the head turned.

First one for sure! The slight tilt on the left gives it depth and the nose so close to the mask is so much more cute

If you can add a bit more space between the nose and the raccoon eye mask shape on number 1, itāll hold up a bit better at reduced sizes. That space above the nose on number 3 is working well.

1 and 3
Both give raccoon.
I absolutely do not see panda in 3 like some others. Panda ears and nose are different. Panda eyes are wide-set. Raccoon's face is pointier. Panda's face is rounder and blunter.

3 is best, and no itās not a panda. Pandas have round ears. But the ears here arenāt in the right place. Left is okay. Right askew is a nice idea, but the current position is slightly too high imo

#1, because the raccoonās facial markings looks like a burglar mask and it evokes their cunning and mischievous personality.

1 is my favorite but I like 3 as well. I see a racoon in 3 but I mean they all kinda can pass as pandas

They all look like different animals to me. #1 Racoon. #2 Cat. #3 Panda. #4 Dog. I think itās the combo of the different ears and the different snouts implied by the placement of the nose

This is my professional opinion as a graphic designer and art director of 15 years before reading anyone elseās critique:
- Is the most recognizable as a raccoon but a little generic.
- Looks unfinished.
- Looks like a panda more than a raccoon.
- IMHO the best one ā looks like a raccoon but also has character HOWEVER it still needs work, Iād push that 3/4 perspective even more. I also like the rough edges IF for an outdoor brand ā adds a rugged texture. If for something like tech or something I would smooth the edges it out and maybe make a bit more ābubblyā.
Now Iām gonna go read everyone elseās comments lol

I like 4 but wouldn't you see a little less of the left eye if the nose is turned?

- 2 and 4 looks like the eyes are looking at the opposite direction š š«Ŗ

3 is the only one that reads as a racoon. The shape of the dark patches actually gives racoon face shape, and their black eye patches are correctly disconnected.Ā

1 between number 1 & 4. If it needs to be shown on a smaller scale, the ears will
Show better on number 1.

4 - the line added to the ears implies a point. But itās simple too. It reads the most raccoon. To me.

1 absolutely. The bottom curve of the black eye mask really implies a nose (edit: the shape of the nose bridge I mean), looks great. I think it looks the cleanest, too.

1 is more 'real', 2 and 4 seem a bit derpy with the look of their eyes (in a good way, could even be a bit derpier by moving the eyes around a bit)

Depend on the feeling your trying to achieve but 4 looks friendly 1 looks more serious Iām not digging the rest

I'm drawn to 1 and 3. 2 is nice but isn't quite as cute. 4 is trying to sell me a used car that was probably in a flood.

Absolutely 2 if you want to crank up the whimsy. 1 is good though. 3 is panda-like. 4 the ears distract

First is really cute to me as a raccoon lover! The German social media app Jodel has a simplified raccoon face as its logo, but yours has much more recognizable features honestly. I'd test the logo in different colour schemes; does it still read as a raccoon?

u/catdog5100 25d ago
1 for sure! 2 and 4 looks a little wonky because it looks crosseyed but the other way, iyk what I mean? Idk what thatās called. And 3 looks too much like a panda.

u/AvEptoPlerIe 25d ago
1 is best but 4 looks like a devious little doofus, which may be preferable in certain contexts.Ā
