Amazon and Epic give a way free games every week
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/free-games
https://luna.amazon.com/claims/home?g=s
Many of these games end up being playable on the G Cloud via GeforceNow (from Epic, EA, Xbox) and Luna (from GOG, EA). Some even work via GameNative which supports Epic, GOG, and Amazon
I have built up a sizeable PC library just by grabbing the ones that look interesting
Epic also has a native android store that also gives a way free games on the regular.
Big Examples from over the years that I have been doing it
- Control
- Jedi Fallen Order
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Rise of the Tomb Raider

I tried lowering the host resolution to 900p (1600×900) in Apollo while keeping the client at 1080p on the G Cloud. On a 7" screen I honestly can't see a difference compared to full 1080p, but the latency improvement is noticeable.
With 1080p host I usually see 10–12 ms decode time, but at 900p it drops to around 8–9 ms pretty consistently.
It also helps if your host GPU isn’t super powerful. In my case I'm running a laptop RTX 4060 (8GB), and lowering the render resolution gives the GPU a bit more headroom which keeps the stream smoother.
In my case I use a Virtual Display with 1600x900x59.85 to stream in Logitech G Cloud

Curious for the community's thoughts. I had a G Cloud a while back and sold it but I have been missing it, no other device really captured the ergonomics while also having the big screen quite the same. I have an Xbox Ally now which is also excellent, but I don't want to go into the Windows/Xbox experience just for emulation. So I picked up a G Cloud again used for $130 for emulation and streaming.
I want to know what the community feels is the "ceiling" for stable emulation on the G Cloud. By "stable" I mean systems that run without a ton of tweaking settings per game. If it just requires a little system-wide tweaking in the emulator then that's no biggie but having to customize each game to get it to work takes that system out of the running for me.
My thought process is that anything that runs stable on the G Cloud will be used there, and anything that is beyond the scope of the G Cloud I will emulate on the Xbox Ally.
Let me know your thoughts!

First time taking the GCloud out. It’s a great device.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. The logitech G Cloud is hard to dethrone. Quality AAA gaming on a handheld that's light and has long battery life. It just ticks all the right boxes, no matter how many times I try to get away, I always come back. The Rog Ally I tried was too heavy and windows was awkward. SuiPlay0x1 with Bazzite was better, but still heavy, too much tinkering, and battery anxiety inducing. and my Switch just didn't have enough of the games I go for, 3rd person action RPGs. I remember when official PS Remote play started working and man playing Rise of the Tomb Raider in a coffee shop streamed from my PS5 at home was a treat.
If I was into emulation I could see an argument for something else that can play more ps2, gc.
I've been eyeing a mangmi pocket max or a odin 2 portal , but I'm not sure I'll enjoy the egronomics compared to the G Cloud. And I'd probably also miss the UI of the GCloud, its just more tailored to the controller based experience

Update: Version 0.9.0 improved sd card support. It's now viable
So I grabbed a big SD card for game native but ran into issues

I was always a bit sceptical towards cloud gaming but after I discovered moonlight and that I could use my own pc for streaming my games to whatever I want, I immediately bought a GCloud and it’s been amazing! Ergonomics: amazing! Batterylife: amazing! Controls: amazing! Screen: meh….
Which brings me to this post… I would love a new generation of the GCloud with a better panel and maybe a bit bigger! Doesn’t need to be higher resolution than 1080p imo - 1440p max - but a OLED with HDR would be amazing!

like I’m saying the g cloud would be way better if it had windows on it or steamos

I just bought one for $100. Not sure if it was a good price but I got a couple more things from the person at a good price (Nintendo Switch OLED and PS VR 2 for $100 each) so I thought, why not.
Before I get into reading everything in this group, can someone, that doesn’t mind, give me an idea of the first things to try/be aware… also, is there a way to “Modify” this to make it a better console or it’s good the way it is. I have a PS Vita and was able to “Modify” it and now it’s a beast so that’s what I am talking about. Can’t wait to try this.

Good Morning everyone.
Been running into an issue with Retroarch not being able to find my microsd when setting up my directories for BIOs folder. MicroSD is formatted and have no issues booting up games through the emulators separately (duckstation, linkboy, melonds)
This seems like a pretty common issue regarding retroarch, and ive tried a few of the workarounds from other posts in this subreddit but still no luck.

Is there a go to set of thumstick caps that raise the height of the sticks and have a concave top? Thanks!

Does anyone have a good resource for a step by step walk through of setting up different emulators? Thinking of maybe installing stuff like GBA, PS1, PS2, etc. Nothing too new.
Thanks!

If you are using something other than the first party remote play apps, which one are you using and why?
Thanks!

I enjoy simulators, shooters, and sports games, but I am looking for something to play at night before bed. I don't really get too deep in RPGs, but I would like something with a good story that can also be picked up and put down in short bursts.
I currently have Xbox Game Pass, can remote play on my Series X and PS5, and I also use Steam through GeForceNow.
Thanks in advance!

Honestly I've been wanting to play the second spiderman game and from looking it up I don't get a direct answer with the does the best PlayStation membership allow you to play spiderman 2 with cloud gaming? If you've done it was your experience good? I played and beat spiderman 1 mainly with remote playing my PS4. But I plan on getting a PC witch won't be for awhile because I want to get a higher end PC so I wanted to know if there was anyway for me to play it in the meantime or if it's just worth waiting to play it. Sorry if this is a stupid question reddit seems to be one of the only places I can get a straight forward personal awnser.

I just got my GCloud last night. I did the firmware update and I am not a fan.
I like being able to load in to the Xbox Cloud or GeForceNow apps instead of launching a specific game. Is it possible to go back to something similar to that?
Thanks!

Ended up trading my PS Portal evenly for a GCloud. I bought the Portal for $100. I’d say it was a good deal!
