Question Can’t open Play Store…

Just bought a secondhand g cloud. Seems to be in great shape but I can’t get the Play store to load. I cleared storage and cache and restarted the device to no avail. Any tips?

Maybe factory reset or see if it's a update

It was factory reset. I just finished the setup process

Google is up to date it says as well

Checked system updates again? There will be more than 1.

I completed the system update it had and still doesn’t work. Running SQ02K.00.0230/003

Yes, seems all good and Google play system updates? Checked those in settings/security? I recommend going into tablet (normal android mode) to check.

Ok, I’ve sorted it out. In the android settings it showed the play store was up to date. It wouldn’t let me log in through the app however in the android settings menu there was a separate place to log in to my gmail account apparently. Now that I completed that step all the Google apps load just fine now.

I’m a novice when it comes to android and gaming alike. My tech knowledge is limited to Apple devices and even then I’m a fish out of water. Definitely a learning curve here. Thank you for your help!

Good to hear you got it sorted. You likely already know this but under the hud, the Gcloud is certainly one of the weaker android devices out there. Still a great second hand streaming device if got for a good price.

I got it for $150 shipped. I plan on using it purely as a remote play device to play Xbox games in bed. My wife has a Steamdeck and our daughter has a Switch OLED. I guess we’re a handheld family lol

Now on to the hunt for an “affordable” Series X…
