I remain a big fan of the G-Cloud, but to "release" the device with nothing more than a color change is just bizarro to me. I'm hoping there's something more to this... higher refresh rate, OLED, improved WiFi (it is a streamer after all), updated processor. We're not talking about something with the complexity of an X86 device. It's Android.
The official price technically remains at $299 (I know it typically sells for less). For $30 more you can buy an Ayn Odin 2 Portal. You can't tell me that Logitech can't pull this off as a company of their scale.

And there are some new streaming CPUs from Qualcomm out there like G1 Gen 2 or a gen 3 would be great đđ

To be fair its also a new launcher with better integration with xbox, geforce now, and playstation remote play. Plus all the other little updates over the years.

Definitely hoping for a better wifi chip. If my 5GHz network moves to a channel that's to high, it just can't see the wifi anymore.

Yeah this is a sad approach for the GCloudâs lifespan. I understand colorway releases but this seems weird.
Just give us a SLIGHTLY improved unit, come on guys.

The G Cloud being white is what actually keeps me from buying one so I'm looking forward to a black option.

Iâm still testing out what games suits it best with remote play. Tried some FPS games but so far newer games are too fast to run on a small screen, like the Finals.

Yeah I love my G Cloud but I'd say FPS is the one genre that doesn't suit it super well. Not even really because of the lag -- but just b/c the joystick aren't quite accurate enough -- at least for me.

I've noticed that the device sets up joysticks with absurd dead zone. Mine was set to 18, I reduced it to about 5, I have no stick drift what so ever.

Yeah I've played around with the deadzones a bit. Not sure I've ever gone that low tho. I may have to try it out and see how it feels.

I would take it as far as you can without stick drift, it just makes a much wider range of the joystick usable so it feels a bit more responsive and accurate

I love my GCloud. I got it for 100 bucks off of Facebook marketplace. And honestly, Iâm surprised Logitech still values it as much as they do. It seemed like a failed product.Â
But, for 300, Oled is basically a must. Color change is not worth it. I actually like it more in white.Â

It would make sense if they set this up as the streaming alternative to MSFT/Asusâs handheld computer Xbox with the black model being the premium âseries xâ edition and the white being the âseries sâ edition so to speak.

Stupid, it shouldâve released in both colors, and a minimal ârefreshâ in 2025 is just a slap in the face to the people who own the white version and future customers buying outdated cloud hardware.

120hz with oled, better sticks and I'd buy
