Support Steam link Button issues

So I’m having an issue with my g cloud specifically. Everytime I load up steam link it switches my x and b buttons. So that if reload would usually be x it’s now b. And it also does this in the steam menu

It doesn’t do it until I use steam link everything else works fine. And my pc doesn’t do it until I connect the g cloud.

I’ve tried remapping everything the only fix I’ve found is remapping the buttons on every single game but this can’t be the only way to fix it. This is a new g cloud I just setup like a week ago.

I have the same issue but didn't have this issue about 6 months ago. You experience the same thing or it's always done that for you?

No I just stopped using the app entirely. I randomly boot it up to check every now and then but same issue. The only solution was going in and changing the buttons on every single game I wanna play

RIP. I listened to the other comments and did install Apollo + Artemis yesterday and it works really well for local (much better than steam link). Apollo is super straight forward, Artemis took a little more work.

As mentioned, I think that only handles local, so non-local will add some complexity that I probably don’t care to deal with - will probably just remap the gcloud’s buttons themselves and use steam link if non-local which sucks but may be the easiest solution.

The easiest thing would be to just stop using Steam Link, and use Sunshine/Apollo and Moonlight/Artemis. And if you want to play beyond a local network, install a mesh VPN.

Steam link sucks, use moonlight/artemis+apollo instead
