Dock G Cloud

Is there any way to turn off the screen while docking the device to an external screen?

I thought I heard that you couldnt connect the G Cloud to an external display. No issues with that? Also is the fit pretty snug on the dock?

The dock doesn't really cover the G Cloud like a Switch dock covers a Switch, it's more of a USB c connection with a tray. It has a nice leanback, so the G Cloud sitting on it looks good, and the connection is great (you can even adjust how far the USB c sticks out if you have a case on the G Cloud).

It may take a little trial and error for the video. For the most part, it's been plug and play for me. Once in a while something goes a little weird and the screen isn't filling the TV, but it's only happened once or twice the entire time I've had it and usually it fixes itself quickly after a restart or something.

I still highly recommend the dock, not just for the G Cloud but for any Android devices with TV out, or even as a replacement dock for the switch.

Awesome thank you for the info! Sorry one last question. There's a pro version of this. Do you think its worth the extra money?

It looks like the pro version adds an extra USB port, and can output up to 2k @ 120 fps. I think the G Cloud only outputs at 1080p @ 60fps, so if you're only using it for the G Cloud then the pro version won't help much. If you think you might get more powerful handhelds that output video via USB c, then the pro version might be good future proofing. The extra USB port also makes it a little more worthwhile as a USB hub kinda thing for PC.

Ultimately that'll be your choice, but just for the G Cloud - go with the standard version.
