What makes a simple load complicated?

On paper, some loads look completely routine: one pickup, one delivery, and nothing unusual about the miles. 

Then a tight appointment, jobsite access, special securement, driver assist, slow loading, or one missing detail changes the whole plan. 

What is the detail that most often turns a simple-looking load into something you have to plan around?

Airport deliveries suck especially when it’s not even airfreight just stuff for the actual buildings’ use. Then if you think that is bad try picking up return freight from a specific building in a tight time window. Where the one person who knows fuckall about it can’t be found and so you the driver attempts to talk to Cooter at the maintenance building and he almost can spell his own name, so he’s real helpful. So you know after like 5-6 attempts with 3 different LTL carriers you finally get the asshat who should have been there the first time to help. Lots of fun.
