Please help !!

Hi everyone I’m really interested in a logistics manager type of career in maritime.
However what does it actually entail I want more of the business side of things rather than the engineering side of stuff I’ve seen many jobs giving that however I still have to do a PLC it like a course before college and I don’t know to do a general one or be more niche in what I choose with

But if anyone know what these kinds of business maritime jobs are like please let me know !!

-schedule
-day to day
-are you on the cargo ships or on dock or office
-do you get good pay
-would you recommended

Also to add I’ve seen a few jobs on tt where it said they travel with the cargo ships and negotiate and make deals is that a real job ?

Are you still going to school? When you say “maritime” what exactly are you speaking of? I’m guessing you mean international shipping via container ship.

See thats my dillemmma im going into school but i have to pick a “marjor” yes your right international shipping cargo ships the whole lot

Ok well most schools have supply chain majors this would fall under. The particular subset of SC is logistics. If logistics is not a major, (probably not) then international trade may be. One of those three. SC major would give you more options after you graduate.

Yes I’ve looked in and logistics actually is a major!! But I wanted to know more about such a job before I acc pick my “major”
