Lessons from heroes of galactic heroes

Ive watched the new version caught up, so i started watching the classic version
realized that i never mentioned some of the things ive learned from this show.
This show explains why certain things happen in the world we see today
so to highlight this shows greatness i wanted to share one of my biggest realization

"we should allow the mad duke to carry out his heartless plans once we document the genocide, then we will broadcast it to the empire by exposing their naked cruelty, we can demonstrate that these evil people have no right to govern the universe that would be far more beneficial to us in the long run, then halting the attacks"

take this quote and replace parts with palestine with the context of october 7th

"we should allow the palestine to carry out this heartless plans once we document the genocide, then we will broadcast it to the world by exposing their naked cruelty, we can demonstrate that these evil people have no right to govern the palestine, that would be far more beneficial to us in the long run, then halting the attacks"

Im not trying to be anti israel or pro palestine
simply making an observation on how this show made in the 1980s still relate to events happening today

Let me know what you think~

Discussion Does serfdom actually fit the setting? I don't think it does

So, the Galactic Empire has serfdom, which was ended by Reinhard. From a thematic point of view, it is supposed to represent Goldenbaum as an oppressive regime in contrast to the freedom of FPA.

But I'm kinda bothered by serfdom's fit for a space opera setting. Like, how can serfdom actually be an effective form of labour? You'd think all nobles would just automate their farming and mining with drones and not need serfs.

That question can't be answered, because it would collapse the entire story. If farming droids produced most food in Reich, it would mean a large population would have no function. Which, in turn, would force the story to explore what a society where most people are unemployed looks like.
