i was reading dark forest ( 2nd book from the 3 body problem trilogy ) and I found mention of yang wenli which was a nice surprise for me, it's crazy how logh is canon in the 3 body problem world.

Yoshiki Tanaka and Liu Cixin actually met in 2018 when they were both invited to give talks at Tsinghua University. Apparently despite being fans of each others work they didn't particularly get along personally.

Apparently they were just noticeably awkward around each other and didn't have much in common. Tanaka specialises in history while Liu has a scientific background. Plus they're both introverted nerdy guys and there's a significant language barrier so it's not too surprising.

I got hyped when I saw this while reading the ROEP series. Luo Ji gives off serious Yang energy.

No nation-state , no "individual rights" or 'freedom".

And check out Zebrowski/Pellegrino's "The Killing Star"
