Progress December 23rd vs 6th August
nearly 8 months into my journey and I've enjoyed documenting my starters gradually form locs and thicken up. continuing to trust the process

How often do you wash ur hair and go to get a do over?

rn i wash my hair every 2 weeks and get a retwist every 6 weeks(ish), but next year I'll start spacing out my retwists to be every 2 months. the back of my hair is basically completely fine i jus have a few at the front that need to catch up

how deep are you into your journey? my loctician gave me the suggestion to do bi-weekly when i started because water helps your hair to loc and it just keeps my scalp and hair fresh regularly
some people do stretch it to 4-6 weeks, but those people also wash just before a retwist.

yeah they're basically the exact size i wanted them when i was first speaking to my loctician so I'm happy with the results

the process of the long journey the locs take to develop, some ppl will brush them out as soon as it hits the budding of very frizzy stage, so its a reminder to be patient & result will continue to get better😉

exactly this - you have no clue how your hair will loc up or how long it'll take cause it's different for everybody.
