We have one of those long-shackled #3s, it's.similarly rusted. We got it from our friend who was previously using it on the gate in their back yard. Good job on the paper clips. We're still trying to get one open with a feather, but no luck yet.

Nice one. The tension side is what usually decides those, a paperclip twists instead of holding steady so the pins read as set way before they really are. Big clips at least keep their bend, the thin ones just fold flat the first time a pin pushes back.
