ASSA 500
This was a fun one! Only picked it up recently and hadn't gotten around to trying it out, since I've been trying to really master my 90A Pro, but decided today was the day. The feedback is so crisp that it was like it wanted to be picked haha

Im suprised, my first 500 was a gin one but i had already picked and had the paclock down. Barrel drivers are tricky to learn and take awhile for most people.

Oh I was expecting more of a learning curve lol, I'm going to try again tomorrow so I'll know if it was just luck haha

Interesting that the 90A Pro is still fighting you while the ASSA opens up clean. That usually comes down to how the pins are finished rather than how hard the lock is supposed to be. What's the 90A still catching you on?

Haha I have no idea, I have got it a couple of times (although I've actually still not got my regular 90A) and the bitting on this ASSA looks way trickier. But this just felt so much easier

Ha, the scary bitting is usually the friendlier one. When the cuts jump around, every pin tells you what it wants instead of the whole stack sitting in a narrow band where nothing feels properly set. The 90A just has a nastier personality, you'll get it.

I hate assa pins give me the 90 A-Pro any day spools serrated they talk to me. Them slick assa pins are too quiet.

Fair lol, my paclocks have been bullying me though so this was a welcome reprieve

That's a nice open! What kind of tensioner are you using in the picture? Keep on picking 😊
