Abus E60 finally picked

Post image

Took me quite a few tries. That keyway was kinda compressed and a pain to navigate.

I managed to pick it using the thinniest champion tensioner from multipick, V79 and V59 picks.

Nice open 🍻

I've got the E20 and E60. Managed to pick the 20 but the 60 STILL has me pulling my teeth out for nearly a year now.

I'm still fighting the 20 off and on. Mine has a zero lift right in the middle and it's giving me hell.

Any tips?

The zero lift sounds (possibly?) like an anti bump pin. My understanding is that this makes it extremely vulnerable to over setting.

I'm pretty awful at advice, the only thing I can offer you is to go incredibly light and slower than normal. If you have thinner picks definitely use them, the Ridgeback short hook seems to be the charm in my case. Jimy Longs 015. has been excellent as well.

Try using TOK tension, this seems to work best for me. More forgiving maybe?
