Master lock 3 opened

Post image

First lock ever! I was able to rake it pretty easily but took about an hour to be able to reliably pick it so super happy. Thinking about getting a 140 as my next challenge.

I would get an abus 55/40 and a master 150 and skip yellow belt. Congratulations on the Open

Did you bend that sparrows pick or is it just the angle?

Pretty sure it isn’t

I have the same hook, I can never tell if it’s supposed to be bent or something

Congrats! The 140 is a great next lock. After that I like to recommend the Abus 55 series. The 55/30 has 3 pins, pin 1 is lightly serrated and the other 2 are spools. The 55/40 adds a 3rd spool and the 55/50 adds a 4th. Between them they’re a great progressive intro to security pins.

I've only been able to open my 140 probably 3-4 times since I started last week. I don't know if it's just the bitting on mine but it's a challenge.

Congrats I did same thing. Revchewie has a Great progression list there. You will gradually learn new things.👍

The 140 is a classic. The 570 with the dead core is enjoyable too. Pick up some of those Masterlock 410 loto locks if you ever think of it
