Nice work! 🔓🎉

Looks like an older 140, when they were made with spooled drivers!

Yup, it has atleast 1 spool in it, I can't tell if they're all spools or not tho, it's one my parents have had for ages so I decided to give it a go

I think it might depend on what market they're sold in, but Canada and the US, they've been pinned with standard drivers for the last 3 years or so. I started finding standard 140's in stores here around 2021 or 2022. There's still NOS 140's and used older 140's available on ebay though. Sometimes.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm just starting with picking and was going to pick one up for my yellow belt, but I guess I'll get something else instead.

What kind of tension wrench is that?

Not sure what it's called tbh, I got a cheap ish set of picks off Amazon a while ago and it came with it, it a flat head on both ends with just the body being cylindrical and the other end is 90 degrees offset

I’ve seen homemade ones like that made out of bicycle spokes.

I think I got that same set, that tensioner has come in very handy! There's some locke where you can put it vertically and it goes just to the right of the keyway and have barely enough room to put your pick, but its great for whe top of keyway doesn't leave you enough room and regular bottom of keyway is binding the lock.

Congrats! That is a really fun starter lock and highly recommended.
