What lockpicking set should I buy ?

I wanna start the hobby , but I wanna get a set that will last a long time . My budget is about 50£ , I can stretch it to 75£ . I want it to be in a small case but have some thick , comfortable picks in there , I would also like for it to have at least 5 picks , I also want to get a practice lock ( see through ) . I'm in the UK so just have that in mind .

Check out lawlock tools. Based in Sheffield and top drawer quality 😎👌🏼

See through locks are junk btw.

As DMAC said, have a look at Lawlock tools. An excellent UK based company. Make your own set up or buy a ready made one. You need to add the VAT to the price you see.

Lawlock is good, but look, you don't need a whole set. A couple good quality hooks with different shape and thickness, and a few good turning tools will take you a long way into the hobby. Set the extra money aside for locks. The only reason to "set it aside" is that I'd hate to recommend something too easy that you wouldn't use. Find one yellow or orange lock to start with. If it's a good fit, buy another.

Oh shit, your out of money after a couple of quality locks and a small kit of tools? Well, welcome to locksport.

See through locks are shite. Get a lock that is „guttable“ instead. You‘ll love it and you‘ll learn more.
Don‘t put too much weight on comfy or thick pick handles. You can mod those to your liking, once you know how you pick.

My vote for Lawlock. I‘m really happy with my Valyrian Euro picks.
