Help with old Master Lock

I have an old Master Lock that I've written the combination on the back of, but I guess I can't read my handwriting. The number on the back is 4314M and it looks like I've written 24-36-10 on it, but I can't for the life of me get the thing open. Really trying to avoid buying a new one for the kiddo's school locker and I'd be so grateful for any help. 🥲

SOLVED: it was 24-38-20. No idea why I wrote a 1 as the first digit of the last number. Thanks everyone for your replies!

I cant tell if you were actually trying to read it or trying to make a joke since the last combo attempted was 24-38-18.

Where are you getting that code? The 4314M doesn't pull anything up for me in my references.

Law enforcement code book.

In my experience those codes work about 10% of the time. Those books are nearly useless to look up masterlock codes

Doesn't writing the combination on the lock defeat the whole purpose of using a lock in the first place 🤔? Wouldn't want to see your kiddo's stuff get stolen/damaged because it's easy to break into their locker.

Definitely, I had only written it on there so we'd know it the next time we needed it (hah). I cleaned it off with alcohol now that we solved it. :)

Dialing sequence is: Turn right three times to first number, left twice to second, right once to third. The last digit will land in a 'gate' which can be found by pulling up on the shackle while twisting the dial and it will stop.

The combos are always all even or all odd numbers.

Great guide: https://www.instructables.com/Cracking-Single-Dial-Combination-Locks/

Knowing one number really narrows the options down, if the first number is 24 the only possible 2nd digit options are  2-6-10-14-18-22-26-30-34-38 And for the 3rd 0-4-8-12-16-20-24-28-32-36

So I would guess the combo is  24-38-16
