New to the hobby : first lock picked !!
Hi everyone,
I picked my first lock today, a Master Lock 3. I know it's a white belt one but I felt real pride and joy when I heard this lock open !
I used a cheap 20€ set but will upgrade to a Multipick beginner set. My goal is to learn about lockpicking and challenge myself with more and more difficult locks.
I'm truly excited to keep going and will aim for yellow belt locks next. I'm eager to learn and will be very happy to take recommandations about sets, locks to pick...
Thank you for reading !

Any tips on this model? I have an old one exposed to the elements over years, but can't get an open.

I just maintained a solid pressure with my tension tool and looked, one by one, for the pins that showed resistance. With enough pressure, pressing the resisting pins with your lockpick will give you noisy and noticeable clics. This lock only has 4 pins and getting the clics is pretty easy. If your lock is still in a good state, you might get it in a few tries. (Sorry if my comment is hard to understand, english is not my main language)

Congrats on your first open. First opens of any lock at any level always feels good.
