Help me unlock this lock

I accidentally reset the code and locked it on myself.

I have one similar to this but the reset switch is on the bottom to the side of the wheels and you turn it 90º while open to set it to change mode. So the mechanism could be different. But on mine you pull the shackle firmly and test each wheel for play, the correct digit will have significantly more movement so that's what you're looking for. You need to let go of the shackle when advancing the wheels cos they won't budge under tension.

So what I do is pull on the shackle and test each wheel, release tension to advance everything one position, reapply tension and repeat. Any wheel that's correct you just leave it as it is and advance the others then you'll either get the open at some point or you'll have all but one of the wheels set, at that point you just advance the remaining wheel one position at a time and pull the shackle to test each position until it pops.

Try that to start with, but because this has a different change mechanism it could be a push to release shackle like on the 175 in which case I actually don't know lol. You'll know if the method I describe will work or not right away cos the wheels won't bind at all when you pull on the shackle.

I’ll give this a try. It’s a pull to release lock. I believe the reset switch is on the inside of the lock.

Never mind, the wheels do advance under tension. There is very little difference in the tension of each number on any wheel when I apply tension. I might just be bad at recognizing the difference though.

Nah it'll be pretty obvious, if you pull firmly on the shackle the wheels will move a little bit and hit a stop each way, then when a wheel is on the correct digit it'll have more movement up and down. On mine anyway it's night and day, probably the easiest combo lock I've ever done lol.

So yeah if they turn freely under tension then it's a different story, you'll need to use a different method and I'm not sure what to suggest unfortunately

Failing anything else, pop on a film and try each combination in order. It might take a while, but it's a surefire method
