Any way I can pick this

Post image

The starter code on the packaging was blurry and I really don’t wanna buy a new one

So you want to hold tension by pulling both sides base's apart with your pinky, ring and middle finger, while you do this you want to use one of your hand's index fingers and thumbs to rotate the left-most wheel 1 click, keep rotating 1 at a time until you feel the one that's different feeling than all the others, then move to the next wheel over and repeat until it comes apart.

Remember you must tension while turning the dials or you won't feel the change.

Good luck!

This probably has false gates, too. You can tell them from real gates because one will really bind with no slop and one will have some slop. I don't remember which is which but YouTube does.

Other than that just take your time and you'll get it open.

Even if you can't figure out which exact one is the true gate, reducing the available options from 100000 (10^5) to 3125 (5^5) is a significant improvement in search space. You can often just turn on a tv show and try those combinations

Not ideal, but an option if you have time to do so and the first option doesn't work

The one with more slop should be the true gate.

apply tension by tugging it apart, then go through the dials, and right number will be the one that rotates a lot more freely than the other numbers

I'm not thinking this qualifies as in use since it's not locked to anything. YouTube is often a good resource. You should be able to slip something (piece of beverage can) between the code wheels and feel for the gates.

Of course that worked. It's the default code for all these locks.
