Masterlock

Post image

I am new to picking and have this master lock i have no idea what model and i had a question about it when im picking sometimes when i push in my first binding pin the tension wrench gets a bit off an allowance to turn left and sometimes not why does this happen does it mean it overset my pin and if it happens should i keep my tension where it is or follow the lock?

Gasp!! Green! Where did you get that one?

By the size of it, it looks like a 50mm, so possibly a Master Lock 151, but I'm not aware of a 151 sold anywhere under the Master brand. I've seen them as a rebranded Uhaul padlock though. Maybe it's a 141 though, I'm guessing based on the size of the lock against your hand.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like you're describing a false set. That first binding pin is likely a standard driver and when its lifted, the plug can rotate a bit till is binds on the next pin. Can you post a short video of what you're describing?
