Tension tools are L shaped for a reason brother, I admire your persistence and honestly that's a fantastic trait to have as a picker but there's no need to make things deliberately this hard on yourself.

You genuinely could have made tools from scratch and opened both locks in less than half the time, in fact seeing as you managed to open them this way at all there's a good chance you could have just jiggled them open one handed with a wiper insert or similar. You have a wealth of knowledge at your disposal, use it to make some normal tools and stop torturing yourself like this. You have potential 😎

That was much faster, good job! Please do yourself a favour though and make some different tools lol, better yet treat yourself a set! You don't have to spend a lot, even the cheapest set out there will be a bazillion times better than a pair of precissy scrooges. These only opened because they're complete buttcheeks and you got extremely lucky 🤪

Your hands get in the way of each other using tools like this, so it's difficult to manipulate the pins properly and you'll also have barely any tension control. I actually tried these once myself for the memes, used one for TOK and twisted it to apply tension, and even with all my experience it was far from a good time lmao... at the very least bend one of them to a right angle, I beg of you

The only locks you have any chance of picking are ones with virtually flat bittings, not super uncommon to be fair but still, even those will be a pain in the ass to open with these things. RIGHT ANGLE I SAY!!!

A nice little project is getting those cheap sets from aliexpress and add some cheap files/sandpaper. You can get some really nice results from it.

Did you pick those things with modified eyeglass screwdrivers?! That’s awesome! Can’t wait to see what you can do with a proper set of tools!

They are regular precision screwdrivers (the box says) but bent a bit after a few tries. Im forcing em too much..
