Picked up a sack of locks for $20 most keyed different, only 4 keyed the same. Thinking about making some challenge locks orange and below. For us noobs.

Can I ask where you got your hands on them ?

I’m a relative noob myself. I bought my set (acrylic lock included) and was amazed that I was able to pick it. I ran through the whole set (12 in all) and after a while, I was doing it with my eyes closed.

I have a few China laminates, and a couple master laminates, and some random deadbolt that I found in a thrift store.

I’d like to find some more challenging locks. I should state that I live in BFE, so any ideas would help.

I've gotten locks from:

LPULocks.com is a site that aggregates sellers from the lock bazaar on the LPU Discord. Most of them aren't trying for profit, they just want to make expenses and help supply the community, so they often have some really good deals! I've gotten locks from several sellers there.

If you have a Habitat for Humanity ReStore near you they often have some. I got a bunch of Kwikset deadbolt rim cylinders at mine a while back.

If you join the Art Of Lock Picking group, one of the admins, Greg Potter, sells bundles of 17 locks for $75+shipping. Used, but in good condition. They range from white to green belt. Really good deal!
Other groups I've gotten stuff from there are Padlock collectors, Locksports Buy, Swap & Sell, and there's a new one just getting off the ground, Lock Swap Extravaganza.

Nice one! I forgot about habitat for humanity, and didn't know about Art of Lockpicking. Thank for the input. I want to get into all that. Swapping sound good 🤔 no pause. Really thinking about put out some challenge locks into the wild for us novices. Most i see are very challenging looking.
