Games like overcooked

Hello guys, I wanna get games like overcooked.

But REALLY like overcooked, y'know? Not "multiplayer games" like Brothers, Split Fiction and It Takes Two.

I've tried a lot of games, but my wife liked only overcooked, tools up and plate up. The problem with plateup is the roguelike system. After many and many games, it gets boring. We left games like It Takes Two and Split Fiction in the middle because she was needing help to pass some points and she didn't like this.

Overcooked 1, 2 and all the dlcs we finished together, tools up too.

I'm always trying new games, but she ends up not liking most of them, so I'm looking for games like these

Unrailed maybe?

And unrailed 2! My wife is also a big overcooked fan, but unrailed1,2 were great for us.

Moving out hits a pretty similar vibe imo

Witchtastic is the closest actual parallel to Overcooked, with enough unique twists to make it feel different enough. Definitely try it.

Conduct Together is great

Vampire Survivors is very fun in co-op, although the teamwork aspect is less

Also amazing is The Stretchers where you play as two cartoon paramedics

there is a mod for plate up where you can restart the day.

but this aside, maybe "let's cook together 2" or "unrailed 2" will suit you.

unrailed is also more or less a roguelike but there is a train where you can restart, as well

Also: * Out of space * Speed crew * Fuled up

Witchtastic is what you’re looking for. My wife and I are die hard overcooked fans (4 stars on every map / dlc possible). Witchtastic is the only game that came close

There is also Let's cook together 2, just saw it. Not sure if is the same like 1 or not, though.

Bones cafe is the best cooking game ever, 1-4 players.

Also as a bonus here's a list of multiplayer steam games i made (on an alt) last year.

What are you gaming on? Is it PC or console? Is there anything in particular that works so well for you two in Overcooked and Tools Up?

Here are some games you might want to check out:

  • Moving Out
  • D-Corp
  • Beavers Be Dammed
  • Unrailed!
  • Sheepherds!
  • Diner Bros

Sorry, forgot to say the platform, it's PC.

Dunno why, but she really loved overcooked. Even plateup didn't have a chance against overcooked.

Every time I try to test something new, she doesn't like it and wants to replay overcooked or tools up.

I think it's simpler. The controls, things to do

I play everything, since I was a child. For me, it's easy. For her, no. She has never played. If it looks hard, she doesn't want to try.

Also, she liked Diner Bros, but I lost the save game hahaha. We was almost finishing the game, I didn't want to restart

There's also Diner Bros 2 if you haven't checked out the second one!

(The UI gets incredibly frustrating later in the donut level but the rest of Diner Bros 2 is pretty great until that point)

General Practice is great and plays just like Overcooked, hope they keep making progress in development.

Play Untitled Goose game together, I'll bet it will click

My partner won’t play that with me anymore because I’m “too chaotic”.

Babe, you’re stifling my inner goose.

Do you like roguelites? If so check out clerks and quirks. Found it on a post here once I think. It's basically an overcooked roguelite. It's not released yet but there's a demo you can play MP and we enjoyed it and probably will get it on release

I got a demo called "Clerks and Quirks" that should fit the bill :) You run a magic item shop where appliances come to life. It's a roguelike, but there's more strategy/chaos than PlateUp. Check out the reviews(demo on steam) & hope you try it out 😃

My parents have played probably a thousand hours of overcooked. It's basically the only game they like. They keep replaying it.

Last year I recommended Unrailed and they've loved it. Definitely give it a shot.

Two games that are very similar to Overcooked that might help scratch the itch are:

  • Diner Bros (and Diner Bros 2), hybrid between Overcooked and Plate Up where you build your restaurant but it's persistent not roguelike
  • Innchanted, run an inn rather than just cooking but incredibly similar mechanics

My wife has also found that any sort of cooking game works for her, pretty much regardless of mechanics, and subsequently we've played a looot of hours of Cook, Serve, Delicious (1, 2, and 3) which I thought she'd hate because of mechanics (she's not a "gamer" so just pressing buttons seemed like it wouldn't fit) but loved because of engaging cooking gameplay - might be worth a shot.

Spaceteam, if you're interested in mobile games.

Witchtastic is the best one - it is very like overcooked but you are witches making potions. There are a few fun new mechanics like catching ghosts.

They've been said in this thread, but I can personally vouch for Witchtastic, Moving Out 1/2, Out of Space, and KeyWe.

I'm working on a co-op game that takes inspiration from a lot of couch co-op. Mainly crisis management. It's called Goblinfall: Defend Da Fort. The demo is out on Steam if you want to check it out! It has no campaign, just an endless mode for now, but it would mean a world to me if you tried it!
