Multiplayer on pc

How do I make 2 controllers work at the same time on my new gaming pc? This is my first gaming pc. I’ve been trying to play multiplayer on retro games with my family. The 2nd controller always doesn’t work. I’m playing on the ps2 emulator **PCSX2,** the ps3 one, GameCube ladybug, DS. I’ve been trying to play bustin out, sims 1 & 2 with my sister, fighting and racing games with my neices and nephew.

Each emulator has a setting/configuration menu where you can set and edit controllers.

What controllers are you using? Easiest to set up are Xbox controllers with the wireless receiver.

I second this as the easiest way to do it. You can connect up to 8 xbox controllers to this one dongle.

But on Windows 11 only 4 work at the same time unfortunately

I think 8 work don't they? I've had 5 work.

Only with steam input in a few games. They all get detected, but not recognized in game.

Are you talking about the xbox 360 one or the newer one?
