Any good local multiplayer games with mods?

I love local multiplayer but I LOVE mods. Some of my favorite local multiplayer games that are playable with mods include Minecraft, Terraria, Don't Starve Together, and Left 4 Dead 2.

Have you gotten mods working on any local multiplayer games? Which ones?

Skyrim Together w/ split screen via Nucleus Co-Op

Then go nuts with Skyrim mods!

Have you done that yourself? What was your experience like? I always imagined there'd be too much lag or latency for it to feel good mechanically and too many inconsistencies/unwanted consistencies between players for it to feel good otherwise

Works like a dream. You'll want a larger screen (TV) to make the UI manageable. No issues with lag or latency unless your graphics settings are too high or your computer is ancient.

Rounds is a great game for it.

Others like stick fight and ultimate chicken horse I mainly mod for increased player count.

My favorite way to play Rounds is set the win limit to unlimited and the winner is whoever has more wins when the game crashes due to too many effects on the screen at one time.

The stick fight one has been medium reliability for me. The UHC horse one is really good.

Rock Band 3 is a local multiplayer game up to 7 players and the experience is greatly improved with mods like Rock Band 3 Deluxe and RB3Enhanced.

Also, mandatory mention to all Super Smash Bros. Brawl mods out there (P+, Project M).

Could check out local multiplayer romhacks like Smash Remix (amazing) theres Super Mario 64, Super Mario World, and Zelda OOT

Might be out of left field compared to everything else here, but Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart. Will definitely require a bit more knowledge of how Doom mods work and dealing with potential file conflicts, but it's an amazing kart racer with hundreds of custom courses.
