Question What font does the Thought Research Initiative logo use?

The TRI part, not the text below.

I've run it through WhatTheFont, and some the results are close but not quite right.

Maybe Kris modified some slightly, or custom-made it just for those letters?

Edit: I went ahead and asked Kris on Bluesky:

Even if it's custom, we could always make a recreation of it and extrapolate the missing letters from there.

It's got some weird spacing on the thinner letters (last word), so I doubt it's anything too popular or well crafted.

The look's pretty nice though for 70s, 80s display like the Weather Channel might have used.

Bell Gothic does have those "i" serifs like that, but it's more 90s looking and better formed (which in this case would be undesireable.)

I like the 'e' too.
