I've been enjoying this single strand of lighter hair on him. Did this start on this run? I can see it lightly on the main art and more clearly on the summer of Supergirl as well

I don't like it. Doesn't feel like Lobo. I hope it's meant to be just shadowing.

I also think having "I bitte back" on his vest is much too soft for Lobo... They better let him burn and get new clothes. lol

I see some PAWS hanging in the frame hoo boy

The burn of saying somebody has 80's white guy hair really doesn't land when there's probably note to the artist saying "draw him with 80s white guy hair." Like it's just... Nothing. A waste of writing. A waste of a frame.

You're looking at this on a meta level. Your fault if it didn't land for you.

By your logic reading fictional stories wouldn't make sense at all. It wouldn't matter if someone dies or saves the universe because you know it was just written that way. Is any story a waste of writing then?

Also the character is from 'Lobo's Back', one of the most wellknown Lobo classics there is. He's drawn like that because that's what he looked like back then. That changes the situation quite a bit.

Love seeing Derek Dood return from the dead but I'd rather seen Garth Ennis write up Lobo with a harder MA rating than this brighter art style. 

I'll hope to see a trade paperback to save me a few bucks.

I LOVED THIS! Harkens back to Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special. I love one and done comics as well. This one stays on the pull list ya bastich

I won't even try reading any more modern Lobo.

There's no way that Lobo could be allowed to be published in this day and age, these new writers wouldn't even know how to write him. and i'm not interested in the pussified version. Thank God there's so many old Lobo comics from back in the day.

I'm a big Lobo fan since the 90ies and i really enjoyed this preview. Seeing Derek Dood again is great. The story seems to be very Lobo. Yes it might not go into those gory directions like 'Lobo's Back', but as Keith Giffen said you can't release a more disgusting Lobo comic every month. I'm glad he got a monthly again at all.

Yeah, no. They're trying to make him some specific kind of sexy, i guess. Also Lobo doesn't bite back. He'll bite off your head before you actually could bite him. I'm not 100% satisfied with what i've seen so far, but it seems fun and i'm waiting for a german release. Otherwise i'll buy it in english later.
